Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to providing high-quality dental hygiene services. This role involves working closely with patients to promote oral health, perform assessments, and assist in various dental procedures. A strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and patient management is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately in the medical records.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth while adhering to aseptic techniques.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Take and interpret medical imaging as needed for patient assessments.
Monitor vital signs and maintain patient comfort throughout appointments.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Collaborate effectively with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.

Requirements

Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred, with familiarity in Eaglesoft being a plus.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is advantageous for working with younger patients.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, documentation review, and dental coding processes.
Proficiency in chairside assisting techniques and general dentistry practices.
Ability to perform vital signs monitoring and understand anatomy related to dental health.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on their oral health needs.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
