Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless patient experience by managing treatment plans, coordinating patient care, and facilitating communication between patients and dental professionals. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical billing, and insurance verification processes.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage patient treatment plans, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
Verify insurance coverage and benefits for dental procedures, providing patients with clear information regarding their financial responsibilities.
Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
Assist with scheduling appointments and follow-ups, utilizing EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks.
Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
Conduct documentation reviews to ensure compliance with medical coding standards including CPT coding and ICD-10/ICD-9.
Collaborate with dental professionals to develop care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Support the front desk operations by managing multi-line phone systems and performing clerical tasks as needed.

Skills

Proficient in medical terminology and dental terminology, with experience in medical billing and coding preferred.
Familiarity with EHR systems such as Athenahealth or Eaglesoft is highly desirable.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency and typing skills (10 key typing).
Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to enhance patient interactions.

Previous clinic or dental office experience is an asset, along with knowledge of insurance verification processes.
