`Great opportunity to join a “patient care centered team” as a dental assistant in an established general practice. Our office is seeking a registered dental assistant who is professional, highly motivated and one that enjoys treating patients with compassion while assisting and providing patient care. Current TN registration is required along with previous chairside experience (minimum 1 year) and knowledge of restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Excellent organizational skills to help promote practice efficiency are important as well as good communication skills to help patients understand their dental needs and help maintain dental health for life.

Key Duties and Responsibilities of registered dental assistant:

-Welcoming patients and helping to ensure a comfortable and positive patient experience

-Preparation of treatment rooms for patient procedures (set up/clean up)

-Direct chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry skills

-Maintaining safe and clean work environment by utilizing proper sterilization and aseptic technique

-Taking diagnostic digital x-rays and intra and extra oral photos

-Fabrication and placement of temporary restorations

-Accurate impression taking for diagnostic study model and bleach tray fabrication

-Patient education and post-operative care instruction

-Maintaining dental supply inventory

-Proper documentation of dental care procedures and notes in patient records

-Compliance with OSHA and HIPPA guidelines

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
