Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Manage patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
Stay updated on dental systems and technologies to improve patient care.

Skills

Proficiency in all dentistry procedures is preferred.
Knowledge of endodontics procedures is a plus.
Familiarity with dental terminology and HIPAA compliance is essential.
Experience with X-ray technology and safety protocols.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage patient records accurately.
Laboratory Tasks: Pouring and trimming study models, and fabricating temporary crowns.
Administrative Duties: Scheduling appointments, managing patient records, handling billing and insurance, and ordering supplies.
Spanish Speaking is a must
