Job description

Seeking RDH with a minimum of 1+ years of experience for Thursdays and Fridays.

Responsibilities

Conduct initial oral health screenings, periodontal assessments, and review medical/dental histories
Perform scaling and root planing (SRP) and remove calculus, plaque, and soft deposits from all tooth surfaces
Provide periodontal therapy, including dental laser treatment (with certification) and placement of Arestin or other localized antibiotics
Apply preventive services, including fluoride treatments, dental sealants, and desensitizing agents
Deliver patient education, including oral hygiene instructions, brushing and flossing techniques, and nutritional counseling to support long-term oral health
Take digital dental X-rays, intraoral photos, and dental impressions as needed
Maintain accurate and complete clinical documentation, periodontal charting, and patient records in the practice management system
Prepare, set up, and maintain a clean and organized treatment area, following OSHA and infection-control guidelines
Monitor and manage clinical supplies and hygiene inventory to ensure availability of necessary materials

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience assisting doctors in general and surgical procedures
Diploma in Dental Hygiene
Valid license to practice
