We are seeking a talented Orthodontic Assistant with previous experience to support our team of orthodontic professionals in providing top-notch care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

Assist orthodontists in providing orthodontic treatments, including but not limited to braces, clear aligners, retainers, and other orthodontic appliances.

Prepare treatment rooms and ensure they are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.

Prepare patients for procedures, explaining treatment plans, and addressing any concerns or questions.

Take digital impressions, x-rays, and photographs as directed by the orthodontist.

Perform orthodontic procedures, such as fitting bands and brackets, placing wires, and adjusting appliances under the supervision of the orthodontist.

Provide support to patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and documentation of procedures performed.

Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.

Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling phone calls.

Requirements:

Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant is required.

Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program is preferred.

Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, tools, and instruments.

Proficiency in taking digital impressions (intraoral scans), x-rays, and photographs.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle a fast-paced work environment.

Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining the highest standards of infection control.

Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions accurately.

Computer literacy and experience with dental software are desirable.
