Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment. The Dental Assistant will support the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that patients have a comfortable experience while receiving treatment.

Duties

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Take and develop dental X-rays, utilizing knowledge of medical imaging and dental terminology.
Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical coding, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for efficient patient management.
Perform vital signs checks and assist with pediatric dentistry as needed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment; ensure that all tools are sterilized and ready for use.
Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively.

Experience
Candidates should possess relevant experience in a dental clinic setting, demonstrating familiarity with various aspects of dental assisting. Preferred qualifications include:

Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience with children.
Familiarity with general dentistry procedures, prosthodontics, endodontics, and anatomy knowledge.
Experience in medical records management, including medical terminology related to dentistry.
