This position is a "crossover" position. The ideal candidate is a dental assistant willing to help our office manager with some front desk duties.

Duties

Chairside dental assisting with a general dentist
Front desk tasks such as

- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for patients
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary paperwork
- Maintain patient records and update medical history as needed
- Assist with billing and insurance claims processing
- Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns
- Manage office supplies and ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable

Qualifications
- At Least 1 year of dental assistant experience with a general dentist

- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar administrative role
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in using office equipment, such as phone systems and computers
- Familiarity with dental office procedures, including scheduling and medical records management
- Experience with dental software systems, such as Open Dental, is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner. Bilingual english / spanish is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
