Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. We are a small, dynamic team that works hard to create a welcoming and cohesive environment for patients and employees alike. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with various dental software and EMR systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Fabricate temporary crowns
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety standards.
Manage patient records and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Monitor vital signs as needed during procedures.
Maintain an organized inventory of dental supplies and equipment.
Assist with medical imaging and 3D scanning when necessary.
Willingness to be crossed trained

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

Proficiency in EMR systems, particularly Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques.
Experience in chairside assisting within a dental clinic setting.
>2 years of experience
Understanding of infection control measures and medical coding/documentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
