Overview
We are privately owned fee for service dental practice seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist, who is also comfortable helping as a dental assistant periodically, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations of our dental practice, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients while efficiently handling administrative tasks. There are two other front office team members who serve various administrative roles for the office. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proper telephone etiquette.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out processes.
Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar effectively.
Handle patient inquiries via phone and in-person with excellent phone etiquette.
Verify insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing.
Maintain accurate patient records, including documentation review and filing.
Utilize Dentrix software
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions and documentation.
Provide clerical support to the dental team as needed, including typing reports and managing correspondence.
Support the development of care plans by coordinating with dentist and dental hygienists.
Support dentist as needed with dental assisting tasks, both chairside and with equipment maintenance/sterilization

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar medical office role is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology, dental terminology, and health information management is essential.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency; 10-key typing experience is beneficial.
Knowledge of dental billing processes, insurance verification, and patient service practices.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
