Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health and comfort. As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient experiences while promoting preventive care and education.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Assess patients' oral health by taking medical histories and recording vital signs.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Utilize medical imaging technology to capture X-rays and other diagnostic images.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Skills

Proficiency in working within a dental office environment, with experience in pediatrics being a plus.
Familiarity with Eaglesoft or Dentrix software for efficient patient management.
Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to understand anatomy related to oral health.
Experience in dental assisting is beneficial, as it enhances collaboration within the team.
Ability to perform basic assessments, including taking vital signs for comprehensive patient care.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral hygiene practices.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
