Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, energetic individual with a strong work ethic to join our patient-focused private dental practice as a Front Desk Administrator. The position is full-time, Monday - Friday from 7:00am-4:00pm. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations. The candidate must possess a positive attitude, strong organizational, analytical, communication and people skills. The Front Desk Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all clients.

Duties

Greet and assist patients and visitors upon arrival with a friendly demeanor.
Manage phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, addressing inquiries and scheduling appointments efficiently.
Handle scheduling and maintain accurate patient records using office management software.
Process collections and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
Utilize Open Dental for patient management and appointment scheduling.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area to create a welcoming environment.
Insurance verification: Verifying patients' eligibility and dental benefits using in-office records, insurance company calls, and online resources
Insurance claims: Filing insurance claims for patients and tracking payments
Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including typing correspondence and managing office supplies.

Experience

Previous experience in a dental front desk or receptionist role is required.
Familiarity with dental coding practices is an advantage but not required.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in using office management software; experience with Open Dental is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
