Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting orthodontists in delivering high-quality treatments. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and the ability to work effectively within a clinical environment.

Duties

Assist orthodontists during procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Cloud9
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the clinic.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the treatment area and sterilization of instruments.
Collaborate with dental receptionists to ensure seamless patient communication and support.

Requirements

Proven experience in dental assisting, preferably within an orthodontic setting.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques, including X-ray procedures.
Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Cloud9 is highly desirable.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in CPR or BLS is preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
