Our office is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our small and tight-knit dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think quickly on your feet. We offer competitive pay based on experience and skill.

Duties

Assist dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques
Operate the treatment area and sterilization area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols
Take and process digital dental X-rays using appropriate techniques
Manage patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Take and monitor vital signs as necessary during procedures
Utilize digital software such as Open Dental for patient management and scheduling
Taking alginate impressions and digital scanning with Trios scanner
Packing cord and fabricate temporary crowns for crown preparation appointments

Skills

Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members
Positive team interaction and willingness to help where needed
Excellent chairside assisting skills with a focus on patient comfort and safety
Strong understanding of dental terminology and infection control
Open to cross-training with front desk tasks such as answering phone calls, scheduling patients, and taking and posting payments
Ability to educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 34 per week
