Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team in a private dental office and rural family setting. The position is Monday -Friday, no weekends. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a dental office environment. This role requires strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations efficiently.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments using Dentrix.
Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Review documentation for completeness and accuracy before patient visits.
Process payments and manage medical collections as necessary.
Utilize multi-line phone systems to manage incoming calls effectively.
Assist with filing, clerical tasks, and general office management duties.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow and care plan implementation.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar medical office role is preferred.
Familiarity with dental terminology and health information management is essential.
Proficiency in Dentrix is highly desirable.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite; typing proficiency is preferred.
Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to enhance patient interactions.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy clinic environment.
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply; additional language skills can be an asset.
