Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. This position is for a Tuesday-Wednesday 7:30am-3:30 pm schedule with the opportunity for growth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while performing essential hygiene procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of general and pediatric dentistry, as well as proficiency in dental software systems.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care.
Review and document patient medical histories and current medications.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient documentation and record-keeping.
Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive patient care in a dental clinic setting.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Handle patients with care, making them feel comfortable during their visits.

Skills

Proficient in general dentistry practices and techniques.
Experience working in a dental office
Strong ability to review documentation accurately and maintain medical records.
Familiarity with Dentrix software for efficient patient management.
Understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental health.
