Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced dental office environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in dental software systems.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations efficiently.
Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar.
Verify patient insurance information and handle insurance claims processing.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with Dental billing, including CDT coding and documentation.
Review care plans and provide necessary information to patients regarding treatments.
Handle incoming calls on a multi-line phone system with professionalism and courtesy.
Process patient intake forms and maintain organized filing systems for medical records.
Utilize EMR systems (we use Curve Dental for our dental management software)
Provide clerical support as needed, including typing correspondence and managing office supplies.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar medical administrative role is preferred.
Proficiency in medical terminology, dental terminology, and health information management.
Familiarity with dental coding (CDT coding) and billing processes is highly desirable.
Strong computer skills; experience with EHR systems is a plus.
Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to enhance patient interactions.
Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
