Responsibilities

Support the orthodontist in delivering excellent care for patients across all age groups, from early interceptive treatment in pediatric patients to adult comprehensive orthodontics.
Proven ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and develop solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Take and process orthodontic records including digital X-rays (panoramic and cephalometric), intraoral and extraoral photographs, and 3D iTero or similar digital scans, ensuring proper positioning, accuracy, and safety protocols.
Manage patient records efficiently using orthodontic practice management software ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Monitor patient comfort and progress throughout treatment visits.
Implement and maintain strict infection control protocols.
Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene best practices during orthodontic treatment, proper care of brackets, wires, and removable appliances, and dietary guidelines to protect orthodontic work.

Skills

Proficiency with orthodontic practice management software. We will train on our current practice management system.
Strong knowledge of orthodontic terminology, dental anatomy, occlusion, and the mechanics of fixed and removable appliances.
Familiarity with orthodontic materials including brackets, bands, archwires, bonding adhesives, separators, and elastics.
Excellent communication skills for building rapport with patients of all ages.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality of all records.
Experience in an orthodontic setting is highly preferred; familiarity with early interceptive orthodontic treatment is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
