Position Overview

Lume Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a Pediatric Dentist to join its privately owned, doctor-led organization at its Charlotte, North Carolina location.

Lume Pediatric Dentistry (formerly Charlotte Pediatric Dentistry) is a multi-location pediatric and orthodontic group serving families across 22 locations in the greater Charlotte region. The organization combines the infrastructure and stability of a multi-site practice with the long-term clinical autonomy and decision-making of private ownership.

This position offers the opportunity to practice in a supportive clinical environment with consistent patient demand and a performance-based compensation model.

Clinical Environment

The Charlotte location maintains established referral relationships and strong community presence.

Each provider is supported by experienced clinical and administrative teams designed to promote efficient patient care delivery. While pediatric offices may operate as single-provider locations, interdisciplinary collaboration is available across the organization, including board-certified pediatric dentists and orthodontists.

Clinical mentorship is available and structured according to provider experience. Opportunities for hospital dentistry, sedation services, and advanced procedures may become available over time based on experience, credentialing status, and organizational needs.

Schedule

The clinical schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. There are no routine weekend hours. Participation in a shared emergency call rotation is required.

Compensation

Expected annual earnings range from 275,000 to 425,000 dollars or more, depending on productivity and schedule.

Compensation includes a daily guarantee combined with a productivity-based model. Providers are compensated based on clinical productivity and patient demand, with opportunity to exceed the stated range.

Malpractice coverage and company-paid life insurance are provided. Sign-on and relocation assistance may be available based on experience and location.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include completion of a CODA-accredited Pediatric Dentistry residency, graduation from an accredited dental school with a DDS or DMD degree, eligibility for or active North Carolina dental licensure prior to start, and commitment to a minimum of four clinical days per week. General Dentists with significant pediatric experience will also be considered.

Preferred qualifications include Board Certification or Board Eligibility through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, prior pediatric clinical experience, familiarity with Dentrix Ascend, and hospital or surgical credentials or willingness to obtain them with organizational support.
