Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic, providing exceptional patient care, and assisting the dental team with various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical documentation, and the ability to maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing necessary instruments and materials.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical documentation for each patient visit, ensuring all records are up-to-date.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Manage patient scheduling and follow-up appointments to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area in accordance with infection control protocols.
Monitor and record vital signs as needed during patient assessments.
Collaborate effectively with the dental team to provide high-quality care.

Qualifications

Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with medical imaging techniques.
Experience with Softdent or similar electronic health record systems is preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is required
