Dr. Sandra Miles has provided compassionate dental care here in Wilmington for over 30 years, and our practice has grown since the addition of her daughter, Dr. Jaimee Michael. As a front desk team member, you are the first point of contact for our patients and help set the tone to create a smooth and positive experience them. You will also be responsible for the administrative needs of the clinical staff and doctors. We like to uphold a fun and friendly work environment, value mutual support and understanding, and prioritize morality and honesty in all interactions.

Administrative responsibilities:

Facilitate patient check in and out, accommodating any special needs
Promptly answer phone calls and relay messages
Communicate cheerfully and professionally via phone, email, and in person
Manage appointment schedules
Maintain accurate records for new and existing patients
Verify and file insurance
Handle financial transactions and collections
Explain and answer questions about fees, services, and policies
Process specialist referrals
Manage incoming and outgoing lab cases
Keep the front office area organized, clean, and free of clutter

Professional and personal skills:

High school diploma or equivalent
Computer proficiency
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Quality customer service
Attention to detail
Ability to handle various tasks
Adaptability, reliability, and outgoing personality
Sensitivity for patient privacy and circumstances
Experience with dental software and insurance is preferred
