Job Description:

You will play a vital role in the office, collaborating closely with both patients and team members to ensure a seamless, professional, and fun experience.

Candidates must have previous experience as a dental assistant. Leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides patients with guidance and support by addressing minor concerns, answering questions, and offering directions as authorized by the dentist.
Assists dentist during procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort.
Performs independent procedures as delegated and directed by the dentist in accordance with state regulations and company protocol.
Educating patients on post-procedure care and oral hygiene practices.
Preparing and sterilizing instruments, operatories and equipment according to infection control protocols and the doctor’s discretion.
Maintains equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's direction and the office's policy and protocol.
Maintains all areas in compliance with directives and protocols as well as center policies and procedures relative to infection control, exposure control and safety issues.
Manages inventory of dental supplies and ensures proper stocking.
Ensures the proper disposal of all contaminated or potentially contaminated materials in accordance with state and federal regulations and office policies.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records as required by law.
Participates in appropriate health promotion/disease prevention activities, both on-site and off-site as required.
Training, mentoring, and supervising the dental assistant team.
Coordinating staff schedules to ensure efficient workflow.
Acting as a liaison between dental assistants, dentists, and office management.
Enforcing and maintaining safety and compliance protocols (WISHA, HIPAA, ETC).
Assisting in hiring and onboarding new dental assistants.
Ensuring and maintaining high standards of patient care and service.
As directed by a supervisor, performs other related and/or necessary tasks to achieve organizational and programmatic goals and objectives.
