Summary:

We are seeking a dental assistant for our single doctor practice in southern Rockford! This position will start as a part-time role 8 am-5 pm either 1 or 2 days a week. Dr. Monette has a background in general dentistry with an emphasis in cosmetics and is hoping to find a caring and compassionate assistant to join her growing team. As an office, it is our goal is to create a professional, supportive, and upbeat work environment while providing the highest quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities for Dental Assistant:

Take and document patient dental history and updates, as well as overall health and medication history.
Assist dentist by handling supplies and instruments as requested.
Prepare tables and trays with necessary instruments and supplies.
Clean and sterilize instruments, and prepare treatment rooms as needed.
Take high-quality dental radiographs.
Perform patient charting.

Qualifications for Dental Assistant:

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred, however not required.
Current CPR certification preferred.
Radiology certification preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines.
Possess a professional and positive attitude.
