Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to promote oral health, educate patients on proper hygiene practices, and assist in various dental procedures.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal assessments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling and patient management.
Provide care for pediatric patients, adapting techniques to meet their needs.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in ongoing education.

Qualifications

Knowledge of human anatomy relevant to dentistry.
Proficiency in using dental software including Eaglesoft and Dentrix is preferred.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality.
Experience in dental assisting or general dentistry is a plus.
Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Experience or interest in pediatrics is desirable.
Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $50.00 - $58.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 32 per week
