The Dental Hygienist plays a vital role in helping patients develop and maintain good oral health through preventive care, education, and clinical treatment. Key Responsibilities of the Dental Hygienist:

Perform dental cleanings, scaling, root planing, and polishing to remove plaque, tartar, and stains
Take and develop dental x-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
Apply preventive agents such as sealants and fluoride treatments
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and long-term dental health
Maintain accurate dental records in the EHR, including treatment plans and recall systems

What We’re Looking For:

Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Current and active Missouri Dental Hygiene License required
Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide Monitoring certification preferred
Previous experience in dental hygiene services, with knowledge of devices, equipment, and preventive care best practices
