SmartMouth Dental Care

Pay: $30–$35/hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Thursday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Benefits: Dental benefits + significant performance-based bonus opportunities

SmartMouth Dental Care is looking for an organized, motivated, and confident Office Manager to help lead our team and keep the practice running smoothly.

This position is more than managing the daily schedule and putting out fires. We’re looking for someone who understands the business side of a dental practice, can lead and support a team, and can use data and established systems to identify where the practice is doing well and where improvements need to be made.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day office operations and ensure the practice runs efficiently and consistently.

Monitor key practice indicators and performance metrics to identify trends, problems, and opportunities for improvement.

Review practice performance and help develop actionable plans when key indicators are not meeting established goals.

Complete training in and learn to effectively utilize our office management system.

Implement and maintain office systems and workflows.

Train, coach, and support team members in office systems, expectations, and responsibilities.

Maintain accountability and consistency across the team.

Identify inefficiencies and work with the doctor and team to develop practical solutions.

Support a positive, professional, and patient-centered office culture.

Communicate clearly and effectively with the doctor, team members, and patients.

Help ensure scheduling, patient communication, administrative systems, and daily workflows are being followed consistently.

What We’re Looking For

Previous dental office and/or management experience is strongly preferred.

Experience with dental insurance strongly preferred

We’re looking for someone who:

Is organized, dependable, and able to take ownership of their responsibilities.

Is comfortable leading a team and holding people accountable.

Can have difficult conversations professionally and respectfully when necessary.

Is comfortable working with numbers and using key indicators to guide decisions.

Can recognize problems, determine why they are happening, and help implement solutions.

Is willing to learn and consistently follow an established management system.

Works collaboratively with the doctor and team.

Can maintain high expectations without creating an unnecessarily stressful work environment.

We want an Office Manager who can look beyond what is happening today and recognize patterns within the practice—someone who can help us continually answer: What’s working? What isn’t? Why? And what do we need to change?
