Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager / Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. This dual-role position offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in dental assisting and office management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, managing administrative tasks, and supporting clinical operations. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic is preferred, along with knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control, and dental terminology. A background in pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, prosthodontics, or endodontics will be considered an asset. This role is vital to ensuring smooth clinic operations and delivering high-quality dental care.

Responsibilities

Assist with chairside procedures including four-handed dentistry, vital signs measurement, and medical imaging.
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Operate and maintain dental equipment such as 3D scanners and X-ray machines while adhering to safety standards.
Manage patient records using EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; ensure accurate documentation of medical and dental histories.
Support administrative duties including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and managing medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform dental assisting tasks such as taking X-rays, assisting with procedures across specialties including pediatrics, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry.
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while ensuring infection control standards are met.
Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist by greeting patients and managing communication effectively.
Support the team with medical coding and documentation to ensure accurate billing processes.

Experience

Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is required; familiarity with dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting and medical imaging is essential.
Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly desirable.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques is mandatory.
Experience working with pediatric patients or in pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge related to dentistry, and familiarity with medical coding are preferred.
Previous roles involving dental reception duties or office management responsibilities will be considered advantageous. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.28 - $29.24 per hour
