Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a comfortable experience for our patients. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures and a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and patient assessment.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapy
Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical histories
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for patient records management
Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a friendly environment for young patients
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper documentation of medical records
Implement aseptic techniques to prevent infection during procedures
Collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before patient appointments
Stay updated on medical coding practices relevant to dental procedures

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

Proficiency in dental office operations, including EMR systems and documentation review
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and general dentistry practices
Knowledge of anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques
Experience in chairside assisting within a dental clinic setting is preferred
Understanding of pediatric dentistry principles is a plus
