Job Summary:
We are a patient-focused, private dental office looking for a highly organized, warm, welcoming team member that can assist with scheduling and insurance verification. As a Scheduling and Insurance Coordinator, you will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our dental office. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring that schedules are optimized and patients receive timely care.

Responsibilities:

- Maintaining the Schedule - ensuring the day is profitable and proper time is allowed for appointments

-Scheduling appointments for patients

-Confirming appointments

-Verifying insurance

-Answering phone properly and addressing patient questions and concerns

-Greeting patients and checking them in for their appointment

-Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, insurance information, and contact details

-Presenting treatment plans

-Assisting with patient referrals to specialty offices

-Dental experience is preferred. Scheduling and customer service experience is a plus

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment

Work hours are 6:30am-3:30pm (Monday-Thursday) and 8am-12pm on Fridays. Fridays are usually administrative hours.

Patient care hours are Monday-Thursday 7am-3pm.We may see patients on special situations on a Friday and usually see Medicaid patients one Saturday a month. Saturday reception hours are optional.
