Zoo Crew is looking for an amazing hygienist for our Cookeville location!

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional dental care to children, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout their dental visits. You will work closely with pediatric dentists and assist in creating a positive dental experience for our young patients.

Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing oral examinations.
Provide preventive dental care, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
Educate patients and their families on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient care activities accurately in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing instruments and materials as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before patient records are finalized.

Skills

Proficient in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge relevant to pediatric dentistry.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
Experience in assisting within a dental clinic setting, particularly with children.
Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and patience when working with young patients.
Ability to conduct thorough patient assessments effectively.
Familiarity with documentation review processes within a dental office environment.
