Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Loader/Unloader to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading goods, ensuring that products are handled safely and efficiently. This role is crucial in maintaining the flow of operations within our distribution center.
Duties
- Load and unload materials and products from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Perform order picking tasks, accurately selecting items for shipment based on customer orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols, including OSHA regulations, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus, with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Familiarity with load/unload procedures and order picking processes.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely, including pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent physical stamina, capable of lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards related to warehouse operations is desirable.
