Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring their oral health and comfort. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient education and care.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and assessments for patients.
- Diagnose and treat various dental conditions including cavities, gum disease, and oral infections.
- Perform a range of dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, and oral surgery.
- Develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs while considering their medical history.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient treatments using Dentrix or similar software.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure efficient office operations.
- Uphold infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Stay updated with advancements in dentistry through continuous education and training.
Skills
- Proficient in dental terminology and practices related to general dentistry as well as specialized areas such as prosthodontics and pediatrics.
- Strong knowledge of infection control procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Experience with electronic medical records systems, particularly Epic or similar platforms.
- Ability to perform complex procedures including root canal therapy and oral surgery with precision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy dental office environment.
