We are a growing, 2-Doctor private practice looking for a Dental Hygienist. Our office is bright, newly remodeled, and has updated equipment. We are currently adding an additional 2 operatories to the office and are needing to hire another hygienist to meet our patient needs. We are looking for someone who is friendly, personable, and self-motivated.
Responsibilities
- Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
- Sterilize dental instruments properly
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
- Clean and help protect patients’ teeth
- Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care
- Take X-rays or dental impressions
- Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Skills
- Personable and friendly. Is able to connect with patients of all ages.
- Proven experience as Dental Hygienist
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession
- Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
- Outstanding communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Valid licence to practice
