We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team at a busy dental clinic. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with dental office procedures and systems.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for the dental team.
- Review patient documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Handle medical collections, including verifying insurance information and processing payments.
- Utilize Meditech systems for patient records management and appointment scheduling.
- Assist in coding procedures using ICD-9 and other relevant coding systems.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support the dental team by preparing care plans and ensuring all necessary documentation is available for patient visits.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, insurance coverage, and payment options.
- Provide bilingual support to enhance patient communication when necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a receptionist in a dental clinic or similar healthcare environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with documentation review processes and medical collection practices.
- Proficient in using Meditech or similar healthcare management systems.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding and other relevant coding practices is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
