We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Insurance Specialist to join our team. Office Hours:
- Monday & Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Tuesday & Wednesday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Every other Friday: 8:00am - 2:00pm

Duties
- Verify dental insurance coverage and eligibility for all patients prior to appointments.
- Submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner, including supporting documentation (e.g., x-rays, clinical notes, narratives, periodontal charting).
- Track and follow up on outstanding claims and resolve denials or discrepancies.
- Post insurance payments and adjustments accurately to patient accounts.
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding insurance benefits, estimated out-of-pocket costs, and financial responsibilities.
- Work with insurance portals and clearinghouse to manage claims effectively.
- Collaborate with front office and clinical teams to ensure seamless patient experiences.
- Schedule appointments and maintain a productive practice schedule.
- Collect patient information and verify insurance eligibility.
- Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle phone inquiries, including appointment scheduling and patient questions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of dental insurance billing experience, preferrable in a specialist office (e.g., periodontics, oral surgery).
- Knowledge of CDT codes, insurance verification, and EOB interpretation.
- Familiarity with common dental insurance providers and online insurance verification platforms.
- Understanding of coordination of benefits, claim follow up and appeals process.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Proficient in using office software and electronic health record systems.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
