Duties
- Conduct thorough examinations of patients' teeth and gums to assess oral health.
- Perform various dental procedures, including but not limited to dental extractions, oral surgery, and dental fabrication.
- Develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs and preferences.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other staff members to provide comprehensive care.
- Stay updated on advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education as required.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health.
- Proficiency in learning dental office management software.
- Expertise in oral surgery techniques and procedures.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with dental terminology essential for effective communication within the clinic.
- Experience in dental fabrication processes for prosthetics and restorations.
- Ability to perform dental extractions safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of infection control practices in a clinical setting.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks within a busy dental office.
