Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients.
Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
- Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Manage patient records using Practice Mgmt software, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization within the dental clinic to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- A compassionate approach towards patient care, particularly in pediatrics.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
