Our practice specializes in treating Sleep Apnea and snoring through Dental Sleep Medicine—a rapidly growing area with no formal training programs for Dental Sleep Assistants. This presents an incredible opportunity for individuals who are eager to learn and make an impact. No prior experience in Sleep Medicine or Dentistry is necessary, as we provide comprehensive on-the-job training, and we’ll compensate you for your learning time.

Job Details:
- Reliable Vehicle Required: A dependable personal vehicle is required.
- Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 am – 5:30 pm). Most but not all staff work out of 2-3 locations. Please discuss with your interviewer.
** South Barrington: New office opening in August, hiring and training now
**Skokie: Tuesday & Friday (adding a day in August)
**Lombard: Tuesday - Friday
Chicago: Wednesday - Thursday
Homer Glen: Monday - Thursday (HR onboarding occurs at this office)
Travel Required: You will need to travel to the office for your regular schedule. Parking is provided for every office. Note: Every member of our team is at times asked to provide coverage in other offices when needed.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Completion of a bachelors degree in a health related field
- Prior experience is required: 4 years of direct patient care in roles like counseling, social work, medical scribing, dental/orthodontic assisting, physical therapy assisting, optometry tech, DME delivery or similar fields. These roles typically require patient education, providing services, possibly documenting and/or interviewing the patient
- Knowledge of medical terminology and Sleep Medicine is a plus, but we provide all necessary training.
- Proficient typing skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Accompany healthcare providers during patient encounters to accurately document physical examinations, and treatment plans.
- Enter medical information into electronic health records (EHR) systems in real-time.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
- Provide patient education on oral appliance insertion, removal, cleaning etc. (training provided).
- Complete administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating referrals.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information.
- Set-up and break down rooms utilizing infection control procedures.
- Room patients, take vitals (training provided) and review questionnaires for completion and clarity.
- Review financial estimate prepared by insurance team and collect payments.
- Take Dental CT X-Ray (training provided).
- Take digital impressions of teeth and bite (training provided).
