Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Maintain infection control protocols and ensure a clean and safe environment
- Assist with dental lab tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Dental Assistant certification or relevant experience
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as CAD, Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
