Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our payroll team! Performs complex and specialized payroll management and reporting duties to ensure that company employees are paid and payroll tax obligations are fulfilled in an accurate and timely manner. Reviews information relating to payroll, payroll taxes and other deductions to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws, policies and procedures. This position is on-site in Toppenish, Washington.

Position Highlights:

Key Tasks:
Lead payroll processes for a $250 million salary budget, ensuring accuracy and timely execution
Supervise audits of time sheets, payroll preparation, deductions, and retirement records maintenance
Oversee payroll entries, taxes, deductions, and reconcile accounting records and reports
Ensure timely deposits for employee benefits and payroll tax obligations
Serve as system administrator and Subject Matter Expert for HR software solutions
Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with FQHC regulations
Manage system updates, integrations, testing, and validations
Enforce wage and hour provisions, levies, garnishments, and other withholding orders
Oversee internal controls and compliance measures to uphold financial integrity
Respond to inquiries regarding payroll status, computations, and benefit deductions
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
5 years' progressive payroll and timekeeping work experience within a multi-state environment and minimum 1,000-employee base.
Of total payroll experience, at least 2 years must be in a supervisory role.
Knowledge of payroll and HRIS systems and administration.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Proficiency with UKGPro & UTM payroll and reporting system preferred.
Familiarity with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) regulations is preferred.
