Ashley Dental is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. We are a private practice serving the St. Croix Valley.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized environment. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about dental health and committed to delivering exceptional service.
Duties
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery and dental implants.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
- Take X-rays and perform medical imaging as required.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation for patient records using software in Dentrix.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the clinic.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the dental clinic environment.
- Support administrative tasks as needed to enhance overall clinic efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome enthusiastic candidates eager to learn.
- Familiarity with X-Ray procedures, medical documentation, and dental software (Epic, Dentrix) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and general dentistry practices is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
