Dental Assistant
Location- Keaau Family Health & Dental
Pay Rate-$19.50-$27.17 (Compensation will be determined based on qualifications and experience)
About the Role:
The Dental Assistant supports the Dentist and Dental Hygienist in delivering patient care, while also assisting with front desk duties, inventory management, and maintaining dental records. They provide clinical support by preparing patients for treatment, assisting during preventive, restorative, or surgical procedures, and ensuring the proper setup of equipment and materials. Responsibilities also include sterilizing instruments, taking dental X-rays, and aiding with laboratory tasks. The Dental Assistant helps create a welcoming and calming environment for patients and their families to ensure a positive experience.
Minimum Qualifications:

Required-High School diploma or GED certificate required

Required-Must have a desire to work with infants, children, adolescents, adults and their families.

Preferred-Previous dental assistant experience preferred
Responsibilities:

He/she also establishes a friendly, warm atmosphere for the patients and parents, keeping them calm and at ease as much as possible.

Aids the Dentist or Dental Hygienist in the administration of treatment through four-handed practices at chairside: -*Assures that all instruments, electronic charting, and radiographs are available in the operatory prior to the arrival of the patient. *Provides proper instruments, at the correct time, in proper sequence for any given treatment procedure. *Prepares dental materials correctly, as needed, and in an amount appropriate to meet the needs of the procedure but as not to allow wasting of materials. *Anticipates the sequence of dental procedures and is prepared in advance so that the dentist may work as efficiently as possible.
