We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental partners team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong commitment to infection control protocols and adherence to HIPAA regulations, ensuring a safe and compliant environment for both patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Assess patients' oral health by reviewing medical histories and conducting examinations.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Assist in the management of medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Implement infection control procedures and maintain aseptic techniques during all dental procedures.
- Take and record vital signs as necessary, ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit.
- Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with dental coding, dental assisting, patient care protocols, and infection control practices is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and the ability to assist during various dental procedures is a plus.
