The Dental Laboratory Technician will participate in the daily operations to meet production levels while helping to continually improve operations quality.
Job Description:
- Follows standard operating procedures (SOPs), prescriptions, and dental impressions.
- An ideal Dental Laboratory Technician will be someone whose expertise results in highly functional, safe, and esthetically pleasing dental replacement.
- Managing supply inventories, performing routine equipment maintenance, and facilitating repairs where needed.
- Collaboration with prescribing doctor and other technicians.
- Documenting processes, as well as adhering to industry regulations and safety standards.
- Requirements
- Ability to produce artistic, esthetic, and consistent, high-quality porcelain work for smile design cases.
- Start-to-finish proficiency in ceramics and the ability to produce custom shades with potential tight deadlines
- Advanced knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and safety procedures.
- Well-balanced personality and professional attitude that coincides with dentists and other technicians.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM design and milling.
- Full arch implant knowledge and understanding MUA and components.
- Implant manufacturer knowledge and understanding of different platforms and scan bodies.
- Both 3shape and exocad design experience
- Abutment and tissue design capabilities for ideal restoration outcomes.
- Responsible for building, contouring, and glazing of high end anterior and posterior restorations including PFM, Emax, Zirconia and implant restorations.We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Ceramist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating high-quality dental prosthetics and restorations, utilizing advanced techniques and materials. This role requires a strong understanding of dental anatomy, precision in craftsmanship, and the ability to work collaboratively with dental professionals to meet patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate dental crowns, bridges, dentures, and other prosthetic devices using CAD technology and traditional methods.
- Utilize precision tools such as to ensure accurate measurements and fit of dental restorations.
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to understand specific patient requirements and preferences.
- Maintain detailed medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Implement aseptic techniques during the fabrication process to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental materials and technologies to enhance restoration quality.
- Assist in the training of new staff members on best practices in dental ceramics.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Ceramist or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with CAD software for designing dental restorations is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dental assisting practices, including vital signs monitoring and medical imaging techniques, is a plus.
- Strong understanding of anatomy related to dentistry is essential for accurate restoration fabrication.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also demonstrating independent problem-solving skills.
