Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our fast paced dental practice. Searching for a full time or part time Assistant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Prepare and organize dental instruments and materials for various treatments.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and ensure proper safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain patient records accurately, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Perform infection control procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols.
- Experience with medical coding and familiarity with medical imaging techniques is a plus.
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous.
- Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.

Pay: $20.30 - $21.14 per hour
