About the Role
Are you an experienced Dental Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting, leads with confidence, and wants to use your skills to their fullest?
At Priest River Dental, we’re more than a routine general practice. While we provide comprehensive everyday dentistry, we also offer advanced treatment—including implants, IV sedation, full-arch cases (All-on-4/10), surgical extractions, and clear aligners. This is a truly integrated clinical setting where foundational care and transformative dentistry happen side by side.
We’re looking for a Rock-Star Lead Assistant—someone who’s clinically strong, great with patients, and ready to lead the back office with clarity, consistency, and professionalism.
Who We Are
We’re an independently operated dental office providing a blend of general and advanced care, with a strong commitment to clinical quality, integrity, and teamwork. From everyday dentistry to surgical procedures, we focus on delivering a high standard of care in a supportive and organized environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the clinical team and ensuring a smooth, well-paced daily flow
- Assisting in a wide range of procedures—from general dentistry to full-arch cases, implants, and IV-sedation support
- Placing retraction cord, fabricating temporaries, managing surgical setups
- Using Open Dental to support treatment planning and clinical coordination
- Confidently discussing and prioritizing treatment with patients chairside
- Maintaining high standards of sterilization, OSHA compliance, and surgical prep
- Helping patients feel calm, informed, and well cared for during treatment
What You Bring
- 3+ years of consecutive, current Dental Assisting experience
- Experience assisting in both general and advanced procedures (implants, AOX, sedation, etc.)
- Proven skills with temporaries, retraction cord, and digital workflows
- Comfort navigating Open Dental in a clinical capacity
- Current CPR certification
- EFDA certification is a plus, but not required
- Leadership mindset with strong communication, team support, and follow-through
What We Offer
- $26–$30/hour, commensurate with experience
- Bonus opportunities in addition to hourly pay
- 34 hours/week – Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Medical insurance (50% employer-paid or $150/month stipend)
- Vision and hearing insurance options
- In-house dental coverage
- Simple IRA retirement plan
Why You’ll Love It Here
This is a role for a confident, clinically driven assistant who’s ready to take the lead in a practice that balances everyday general dentistry with advanced surgical care. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values trust, accountability, and professional growth—no micromanaging, just meaningful work with people who care.
