Job Overview
The Dental Laboratory Technician is responsible for creating dental prosthetics and appliances based on the specifications provided by dentists. This role requires a keen eye for detail, precision in craftsmanship, and a strong understanding of dental anatomy and materials.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Fabricate dental prosthetics such as crowns, bridges, and orthodontic appliances.
Interpret and follow prescriptions from dentists and oral surgeons
Utilize various tools and techniques to mold, shape, and finish dental products.
Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet established standards.
Maintain accurate records of materials and time spent on each project.
Collaborate with dentists to address any modifications or adjustments needed.
Stay updated on the latest dental technologies and materials used in the industry.
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with completion of a dental laboratory technology program. Previous experience in a dental laboratory setting is preferred, but entry-level positions may be available for candidates willing to learn.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Ability to work with a variety of materials, including metals, ceramics, and plastics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Good communication skills for collaborating with dental professionals.
Knowledge of dental anatomy and laboratory procedures.
Familiarity with dental software and technology is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
