We are seeking a motivated team player to join our busy private dental office. This person will be responsible for assisting the doctors with procedures chairside, sterilization, stocking supplies and working independently on some parts of procedures with patients. Individuals with expanded functions dental assisting and x-ray certification are preferred. We are willing to train the right candidate and can provide a path to certification if needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentists during various dental procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment room, including proper setup, breakdown and sterilization between patients.
- Understand and follow all OSHA standards.
- Taking x-rays following the standard of care.
- Review intake forms with patient for accuracy and complete proper documentation of procedures on patients.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently.
- Understand dental coding in order to provide proper treatment plans for patients.
- Communicate efficiently with colleagues to ensure an orderly function of the office.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $28.00 per hour
