We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental office environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment for all procedures.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in the management of patient care, including taking medical histories and updating records.
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to provide comprehensive patient care through four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Stay informed about advancements in dental hygiene practices and medical terminology relevant to the field.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and sterilized according to clinic protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and patient care principles is essential.
- Familiarity with dental assisting practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are critical for success in this role.
