Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Experience is preferred but not a must, we have a great team that can provide training. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the clinic while providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. The position offers base hourly pay based on experience plus profit sharing, health insurance, paid holidays, and a generous 401k with 6% match. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for patient treatments.
- Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Record and update medical documentation accurately in patient files
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and maintain a clean working environment.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently using Eagle Soft systems.
- Provide support in prosthodontics procedures as required.
Requirements
- Proficiency in dental terminology and understanding of dental systems.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Knowledge of X-ray procedures and safety measures.
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform four-handed dentistry effectively.
- Proficient in using Eagle Soft or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
